OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Mission Statement
St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Anderson, SC was founded in 1943 by the Franciscans of the Holy Name Province in New York. The intention then and now is to be a welcoming family of faith where all are invited to encounter Jesus Christ, find a spiritual home, and grow together in love. Nourished by the Eucharist and guided by the Holy Spirit, we seek to worship God faithfully, grow as disciples, strengthen our families, serve those in need, and share the joy and love of the Gospel with all.

At St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, our faith is at the center of everything we do. We believe in the power of prayer, the importance of serving others, and the transformative grace of God. Our community is made up of individuals who seek to deepen their relationship with God and grow in their faith together. We welcome all who seek to join us in this journey of faith.
COMMUNITY LIFE
St. Mary of the Angels offers a range of life groups that are tailored to meet the needs of our diverse community. From the Knights of Columbas to the Women's Council, there is something for everyone. Our groups provide an opportunity for members to grow in faith and build strong relationships with others who share similar values and interests.
SACRAMENTS
The Catholic Church has seven holy sacraments that are seen as mystical channels of divine grace, instituted by Christ. Each is celebrated with a visible rite, which reflects the invisible, spiritual essence of the sacrament.
